NACE
NACE (National Association of Colleges and Employers)
Excelsior University is a member of NACE, the leading source of information on the employment of college educated, connecting recruiters and career services professionals, and providing best practices, trends, research, professional development, and conferences.
NACE Position Statement: US Internships
Federal law requires payment of interns unless the internship satisfies criteria outlined by the U.S. Department of Labor. Excelsior University cannot determine whether any internship satisfies the Department of Labor criteria, this is the responsibility of the posting employer. To help ensure that Excelsior students are provided with beneficial internships, we require all employers posting unpaid internships to certify that they have reviewed and will abide by the Department of Labor criteria established in the FLSA.
Policies
As a member of NACE, Excelsior University abides by Principles for Professional Practice for Career Services and, in turn, expects that all employers recruiting our students will abide by NACE’s Principles for Professional Practice for Employment Professionals and become familiar with our recruitment and privacy policies.
