How to Give
Gifts of all sizes are welcome and are powerful investments in Excelsior students. There are many ways to give to Excelsior and your charitable gift is fully tax-deductible.
Give Online
The fastest way to make your gift is online via credit card gift using our secure server. You can also call 888-647-2388 to provide your credit card information over the phone.
Recurring Gifts
Join our Sustainer’s Society by making your recurring gift today.
Give By Mail
Gifts by check are processed as soon as they arrive in our mailbox! If you receive an invitation to participate in a giving campaign by mail, simply use the pledge card and envelope that were enclosed to mail back your check. Be sure to make your check out to Excelsior University (money orders are accepted, too).
All Excelsior pledge cards include a space to fill out personal credit card information. If you prefer to give using a credit card but not through our website, this is a great way to do so. Download your Excelsior University pledge card to mail your gift.
Electronic funds transfers are also available. Simply fill out and return our Sustainers Program Pledge Form to set up a one time or recurring EFT donation.

Additional Ways of Giving
Gifts in Kind
Excelsior accepts gifts of tangible personal property, or “gifts in kind,” for which the donor can claim a tax deduction for the appraised value of the gift on the date the gift is made. Acceptance of items is subject to usage and space constraints. Individuals may contact the Jamie Hicks-Furgang, Assistant Vice President Development and Alumni Engagement, at jhicks@excelsior.edu to donate a gift in kind.
Planned Gifts
Excelsior accepts many planned gift instruments including life income gifts and bequests. For assistance in planning your gift to Excelsior, contact Jamie Hicks-Furgang, Assistant Vice President Development and Alumni Engagement, at jfurgang@excelsior.edu
Stock Transfers
For gifts of stock, shares may be delivered two ways. Gifts may be sent electronically to one of Excelsior’s brokers. Any stock gift delivered electronically must be received in Excelsior’s account before the markets close on December 31, for a donor to receive credit for the stock gift in that calendar year. For further assistance, contact Jamie Hicks-Furgang, Assistant Vice President Development and Alumni Engagement, at jfurgang@excelsior.edu
