About Frank Azuola

As a member of the President’s Cabinet, Frank Azuola serves as the chief information officer of Excelsior University, providing leadership in digital transformation and strategy for the development and support of a customer-centric and secure information technology ecosystem.

Before joining Excelsior University in 2022, Azuola held technology leadership positions at the University of Miami, The George Washington University, and Temple University.

As an information technology executive with more than 20 years of experience, Azuola has a background in the design, development, and management of information systems, global IT management, and strategic planning. He has taught courses in business administration, computer science, and electrical engineering at the undergraduate and graduate level and has done research in computer simulation and optimization, and global business strategy. Before his roles in higher education, Azuola led major global initiatives at Intel Corporation’s semiconductor research and development and manufacturing business.
