Mary Berkery is a faculty program director for history at Excelsior College. She has a PhD and MA from Binghamton University in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality History with emphases in U.S. History and Human Rights, and a BA in U.S, History from Union College. Her research focuses on second-wave feminism and the International Women's Year Conference of 1977. Her publications include contributions to the journals Missouri Historical Review and Women and Social Movements 1600-2000, and the forthcoming Modern Language Association (MLA)-edited collection "Teaching the Harlem Renaissance."
