J. André Foisy is the executive director of institutional outcomes assessment at Excelsior College, a Ph.D. student in the Educational Policy and Leadership department at the University of Albany, and the past president of the Association for the Assessment of Learning in Higher Education (AALHE). At Excelsior College, Foisy leads the outcomes assessment unit and facilitates the institution’s processes to assess student learning. As past president of AALHE, a national member-based association, Foisy works to support a community of educators and inform assessment practices in higher education. Foisy completed his Master of Arts degree in the Social Sciences at the University of Chicago and his Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology and American Studies at the University at Buffalo. In Summer 2022, he will be a Fellow at the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
