James Wright
James Wright, a veteran of the U.S. Navy from San Diego, CA, serves as the director of a nonprofit, Wright’s Aviation Ministries, which provides free or low-cost medical transportation to people in need. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts from Excelsior in 1999 and went on to earn a Master of Education from National University. Wright currently works with several veteran service organizations to improve the quality of life for veterans and their families. He has served as the commander of the local VFW post and held several leadership positions in veterans service organizations. Additionally, he has assisted with local homeless veterans Stand Downs each year.
Wright is a qualified teacher who has taught at the grade school, community college, and university level, and has also been an administrator at the grade school level. In addition, he is a FAA-qualified aircraft maintenance technician who has worked as a contractor for AeroMexico and Virgin America Airlines. An ordained minister, he is the state chaplain for the Veterans of Foreign Wars in California.
