Morgan CJ Morgan

Morgan CJ Morgan, of Fairfield, Connecticut, came from a background of limited options and low expectations, and defied all odds to be where she is today. While raising her children and struggling to buy food, Morgan kept the lights on and met expectations as a mother, daughter, and partner, overcoming challenges, mistakes, and personal failures. In a pivotal moment, she made the choice to attend Excelsior and earned an Associate in Science in Nursing in 2012. Earning the nursing degree transformed her life from working part time in a hospital, first as a nurse's aid and then as an account representative, to working as a registered nurse and opened up new career opportunities and a new life. Ignited by her passion for learning, the degree she earned from Excelsior lit the flame of self-confidence and she sought out management roles. In addition to her degree from Excelsior, Morgan earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University and an MBA from Fairfield University. For more than a decade, she has poured her efforts into being an advocate for patients and an innovator in the nursing field. Her greatest accomplishment is holding onto hope when there was nothing else to hold onto, and never giving up. By sharing her experience, she hopes to inspire someone else to take a leap and change their life. She says, “If I can do it, you can do it!”
