Excelsior University has veteran-friendly policies and advising services that make it easy to apply GI Bill® and other educational benefits toward your Excelsior degree.
The cost on this page applies to military veterans.

Post-Admission Credit Evaluation Service | $300 | Students who choose to transfer credits after they have been admitted to Excelsior will pay a service fee to have credit evaluated for applicability to their degree programs. |
Graduation Fee | $125 | Final review and processing of student records for degree conferral and issuance of diploma. |

Beginning January 17, 2024, a 2.85% service fee will be assessed when credit or debit cards are used to pay for tuition and university fees.

Excelsior University is a proud participant in the Yellow Ribbon Program helping veterans to further reduce or even eliminate the financial burden of higher education.
About The Yellow Ribbon Program
The Yellow Ribbon Program is an agreement between Excelsior University and the Department of Veterans Affairs designed to cover tuition and fees that exceed the Post 9/11 GI Bill® benefits yearly limit.
Yellow Ribbon Program Eligibility

How The Yellow Ribbon Program Works
- To participate, contact a School Certifying Official (SCO) via email at vabenefits@excelsior.edu
- Requests are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis
- Excelsior University will fund up to 10 students, providing $500 per student, per year

While most of our Excelsior students are not full-time, the share of full-time students who graduate within 8 years of entering Excelsior for the first time is 35%.

Tuition Deferral
Excelsior’s Tuition Deferral Plan is available for students receiving benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs.
