How To Get Started
You will need to submit the following documents as applicable. Select the links below for more information and instructions for requesting these documents:
- Request your official transcripts to be sent from the issuing institution to Excelsior University. You can explore other sources of credit you may have such as certifications and trainings that may allow you to start with more credit.
- Joint Services Transcript
- Defense Language Institute (DLI) Transcript
- Defense Language Proficiency Institute (DLPT)
Have all official transcripts, proficiency tests, and other documents sent directly to Excelsior from your previous college or university, a testing agency, or an education office. Have them sent to:

After choosing a course with your counselor, complete a TA application through your branch of service and register through Excelsior by using our tuition assistance process.
