Sexual abuse of women in the prison system is more prevalent than people may realize. Given their circumstances, incarcerated women who are victims of sexual abuse are typically afraid to report this violence and seek assistance. We invite students, staff, and faculty to join us for a webinar that focuses on the impact of this violence on victims, their loved ones, and society. Presenters, Karen Halaco and Anita Burns, will discuss historical and current reforms for preventing and addressing this serious societal problem.
