The Administrative Associate plays a pivotal role in supporting the efficient operations of the College of Nursing and School of Health Sciences clinical operations by providing comprehensive administrative support to ensure smooth day to day activities. The Administrative Associate will be required to access university-wide data systems, arrange meetings with internal and external stakeholders, monitor unit budgets and expenditures, and prepare meeting minutes and routine correspondence. This is a full-time hybrid role with a minimum of two required days at Excelsior's home office of 7 Columbia Circle, Albany, NY with the remainder of the week worked from home.

Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Respond to the needs of stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure the University and CNHS are perceived as customer oriented and responsive.
  • Compose, modify, and proof routine and confidential correspondence including letters, memos, and forms.
  • Coordinate and schedule CNHS governance committees and councils and other committees, as necessary.
  • Utilize available data systems to create reports in support of CNHS initiatives.
  • Coordinate travel for CNHS leadership team.
  • Organize and track program expenditures in support of the annual budget.
  • Process purchase requests and consultant payment, as necessary.
  • Serve on university-wide committees and task groups as assigned.
  • Assist in direct communication with students to answer questions or resolve issues.

  • An associate degree from an accredited academic institution or 5+ years of related work experience with completed High School diploma/GED.
  • Minimum of 1-year related work experience.
  • Experience in adult and continuing education or distance education highly desirable.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines, project management skills preferred.
  • Comfort working with technologies to collect and analyze data in support of College initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Demonstrated competence in written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with deans, faculty, and staff throughout the College.
  • Demonstrated integrity, commitment to high standards, ability to achieve results.
  • A commitment to working successfully with diverse populations.

The hiring salary range for this position is $38,500.00 - $44,000.00. The hiring salary range above represents the University's good faith estimate at the time of posting.
