Excelsior Concurrent Enrollment Program (CEP) For Nursing
The Concurrent Enrollment Program (CEP) for Nursing is a collaborative effort between select partners and Excelsior University. This program allows qualified students to earn an Associate of Applied Science in nursing at a partner school while completing defined degree requirements for the Bachelor of Science in nursing at Excelsior University.
A Direct Path to Your AAS and BS in Nursing
Working together, Excelsior University and your school will guide you through the process. Once you have completed the general education courses for the associate degree program and are waiting to enter the nursing courses, you may begin course work on the general education requirements for Excelsior University’s BS in nursing program. You have the option to complete these credits through Excelsior University by online course or exam.
When your first two semesters of nursing courses at the partner school are successfully completed, you are eligible to take up to three phase 1 nursing courses in the BS program at Excelsior: two required courses and one elective. Once you graduate from the partner school with your AAS in nursing degree and become a Registered Nurse, you continue earning your BS in nursing from Excelsior. You may only need 25-30 credits to finish. This lets you complete your bachelor’s degree in as little as 1 to 1½ years.
