Future-Proof Your Career with a BS in Cybersecurity
Aligned with the academic requirements set by the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Excelsior University’s BS in Cybersecurity program is designed to prepare you for cybersecurity jobs in the U.S. Cyber Command; the NSA’s signal intelligence operations; law enforcement agencies, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation; and corporate environments.
Excelsior is proud to be a designated Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD). The Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity program supports the NSA’s belief that cybersecurity should be integrated into all aspects of a person’s career. The hands-on curriculum makes sure you have the skills you need for positions on the front lines of cyber defense, and that you’re prepared to take industry certification exams such as CISP, CEH, Security+, Network+, CHFI, SSCP, and ESCP.

Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity
Learn how to address advanced cyber threats, cybercrime, and terrorism. With a focus on both technical and organizational aspects of cybersecurity, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of organizational behavior, reverse engineering, and large-scale crime.
Expand your cybersecurity knowledge and strengthen the essential skills you need for securing diverse technological environments. This flexible concentration allows you to tailor coursework to fit your individual career goals, drawing from a variety of areas, including business continuity, computer forensics, and mobile and cloud environments. Institutional Accreditation
Excelsior University is an accredited institution and a member of the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE or the Commission) www.msche.org. Excelsior University’s accreditation status is accreditation reaffirmed. The Commission’s most recent action on the institution’s accreditation status on June 23, 2022 was to reaffirm accreditation. MSCHE is recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education to conduct accreditation and pre-accreditation (candidate status) activities for institutions of higher education including distance, correspondence education, and direct assessment programs offered at those institutions. The Commission’s geographic area of accrediting activities is throughout the United States.
All of Excelsior University’s academic programs are registered (i.e., approved) by the New York State Education Department.
National Center of Academic Excellence
The National Security Agency (NSA) and the Department of Homeland Security designated Excelsior as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education for its Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity program. The CAE program is administered by the CAE in Cybersecurity Community.
